CUIS Introduction (continued)
|
Roles
of CUIS |
To
praise Allah, by enjoining the good and forbidding the evil. This is
fundamental in all work we carry out.
Cultivate an Islamic environment for brothers and sisters and foster unity among
all Muslims at the campus and in the surrounding neighbourhood. To provide a
wholesome alternative to environments such as pubs, clubs and the associated
conduct.
Representing Muslim opinion on campus, in an organised and official manner, on
local issues (prayer rooms) and wider issues concerning the ummah can be brought
forward.
Present Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims and promote friendly relations and
understanding between them.
Campus life can present enormous intellectual and social challenges. Islam
encompasses all spheres of life; it is not restricted to the mosque. Allah has
provided a methodology to resolve all the trials and tribulations life may
present and our involvement in the lives of students’ aims to provide a sincere
confidante and guide towards the right, straight path.
